starting a blog
Since I am totally inept about making my own website, I decided just to start a blog.
My family and friends are scattered all over so maybe this is more efficient.
I have been living in New York since January and this sounds like a cliche but I really love living in New York.
I didn't think I would when I first came here from sweet old Cambridge, Massachusetts. The NYC subway is just ugh, dirty (in fact I take the bus more than the subway). The commuters in Grand Central look like they were barreling towards me. And there were just so many people.
But living in New York reminded me of something about myself: I like eating good food, watching off beat films and drinking creative cocktails in well-decorated bars. I started becoming curious again which is not the frame of mind I had while living in Cambridge - back then I tended to go to my favorite pubs, salad places and burger joints. My theory is that the city had that effect on me.
